Library

Below is a gallery from the A-section Xi Class Pledge Project.  The class consisting of David Butler, John Fisher, Andrew Mazzola, Mark Symons, Kevin Waggoner, and Nick Zele remodeled the Library for their project.  They began by moving all the books to the crib room and then disassembled the desk, bookshelf, and the table.  The room then had to be cleared out before they could start taking out the walls.  They took apart the drop ceiling then removed the paneling and the drywall that was already in place. Tearing the room was the easy part. Next, they had to start putting up the drywall.  They made measurements and cut the pieces to match the dimensions perfectly.  Next, mudding the walls took the longest because it was the hardest part of drywalling to get right. Once the drywall was hung and mudded, they began painting.  They primed then painted the walls with at least two coats.  They then stained the trim, bookshelf, desk, and painted the doors.  They steam-cleaned the carpet and also bought a new table for the library.  Lastly they moved everything back in, re-wired the light switch and the lights above the white board with the help of Brother Harrison.  Below are some of the pictures, with more to come-
